課程概述

 

課程目標
 The aims of the course: To learn
- Concept of measurement
- Classical test theory versus item response theory
- Rasch measurement model and the application in OT

 
課程要求
 There will be lecturing, weekly journal reading and discussion for the course.
Each student will be responsible for reporting 2-3 journals each week. Two term
papers are required for the course.


Course evaluation：weekly reading, midterm paper, final term paper


Term paper:
-Midterm:
--Each student needs to choose an instrument to analyze its applicability and
psychometric qualities
--The analysis would include
--A brief introduction of the instrument: purpose, population, tools to use,
administration, scoring, interpretation
--A critique of the instrument of the psychometric qualities
--Suggestions for the instrument and implication for OT
-Final term paper:
--A research design to use Rasch measurement model
--The contents need to include
--Purpose of the study
--Brief literature review on the subject
